Well, Mum's first attempt to fix the garden didn't go quite so well... The fence she has up to stop us tearing the grass up and brining all the mud in started to fall down. So she's going for option 2.. no grass!
Garden as it was at the start of yesterday
Mum decided to make a start on sorting out the shrub bed that she wants to keep. We like it cos it's great for Pepper and Taz to ambush each other!
Mum took out the hudge spikey thing! She said it was too big and cutting all the light out. That's WHY we liked it Mum!
Now it looks like this! Much less fun! Mum says once it's flowered she's going to take the broom out cos it's too big, and replace it with some Hebes! I'm not sure I like Hebe enough to want her to stay! She'll steal my ball! Mum also wants to put some 'anti weed' stuff down and some bark stuff... THAT could be fun....
Mum also got a new toy.. a big spikey thing for cutting wood! It's very loud and Mum banned us from the garage when it was on.. Tho we're 'banned' from the garage anyway so not much new there. But she shut the door this time and everything!
So far the fencing has turned into this: Mum says it's not finished yet and she hasn't buried it properly cos she needs to move the plants first. She's going to make at least another one, maybe 2.
The main reason she took so long was she had to go collect her 'circle'. Mum said this pic is just for show, cos she was trying to see if it would fit. It should be yellow with red bricks but it needs cleaning. She's only put one slab of the outside ring down but it's got the full set to go around the outside. Apparently it's an 'eBay bargin' as it only got Mum £45.. instead of £160 for a new one!
Mum also did a bit of work the other day and re-potted the 'herb garden' - although two of these are wild strawberry plants. Mum has to keep these on the table cos Pepper gets annoyed with the strawberry plant when it runs out and shreads it...
Mum also moved her corkscrew hazel into a pot.. apparently they can do a lot of damage to houses with their roots.. and it was right next to our house! Mum isn't sure it will take to being in a pot that well, but better that than no house! She also got 4 japanese maple trees, a red, a green, an orange and a green and cream! They're only baby ones but were a bit of a bargin!
Finally a shot of us supervising.. or doing kangaroo impressions if your name is Taz.....
